Today, buildings account for approximately 40% of energy consumption and carbon emissions. Saint-Gobain therefore has a key role to play in helping to de-carbonise the UK economy by offering solutions to improve energy efficiency in buildings and reducing its own greenhouse gas emissons.
Our businesses are heavily engaged in developing actions to reduce CO2 emissions in both our industrial and distribution activities, as well as in the embodied carbon of our products, though our eco-innovation process.
We set ourselves tagets to reduce our energy consumption by 15% and total CO2 emissions by 20% by 2025 and we will report regularly on our progress.
