It’s time to blow my own trumpet. I’m delighted to say that I’ve been awarded with a Gold Pin from the UK Green Building Council (UK-GBC).
As a Gold Leaf member of the UK-GBC, Saint-Gobain is highly committed to helping to build a sustainable future, working with the UK-GBC on a number of task groups to help to support for this.
The pin represents a symbol for Saint-Gobain’s commitment to sustainability and was a result of my work on the Retrofit Task Group, working on incentives to encourage retrofit, where I was one of the group leaders.
The UK-GBC Gold Pin is awarded to those who have gone ‘above and beyond’ their call of duty in supporting the UK-GBC. With no more than three pins awarded every year, it’s a huge honour to receive this.
I am proud of the work we achieved in the task group as a team, and this pin represents the commitment from not just myself, but Saint-Gobain has for campaigning for a sustainable built environment.
I was the only member from the group to receive this award, but the results we delivered were a team effort, so I’d like to say thank you to everyone in the Task Group for their dedication this year.
Paul King, Chief Executive of UK-GBC, has commented on the award and said: “Jade has made a really important contribution to the UK-GBC’s work on the Green Deal and I know she will continue to be a valuable asset to our work on energy efficiency. We are very grateful for her extraordinary commitment, and she is a deserved recipient of our Gold Pin award.
