The site at www.eezi-compare.com compares three main materials used in above ground drainage – cast iron, HDPE and stainless steel – in categories such as product life and sustainability.

It also looks at factors including fire resistance, acoustic performance, and ease of installation – all areas where comparisons have been made at independent laboratories, which have subsequently highlighted the benefits of cast iron systems over the alternatives.
