Isover 3 point plan offers winning combination

Isover 3 Point Plan Website

Isover, the leading developer of sustainable insulation solutions to protect both the natural and the built environment, has launched a 3 Point Plan for environmental sustainability.  As well as highlighting the environmental benefits of using Isover solutions – less materials, less energy and less emissions – to mark the launch of the 3 Point Plan to merchants and contractors, they have launched a promotion that offers a host of prizes including a trip for two to see Brazil play a home international football match.

The top prize includes return flights, a seven night stay in a 4 star hotel and a VIP trip to the Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro.  In addition, there is the chance for contractor customers to win one of three VIP stadium tours to a UK Premiership football club of their choice, including £100 travel allowance and overnight accommodation.

For a chance to win and to learn more about the Isover 3 Point Plan for environmental sustainability, customers can log on to www.3pointplan.co.uk and enter their details.  The first 1,500 to sign up will also win a Brazil style football t-shirt or mini football.

From product innovation and the sourcing of raw materials through to manufacture, distribution and installation, Isover, an ISO14001 accredited company, constantly achieves improvements in its environmental impact and its 3 Point Plan is designed to highlight the benefits of its glass mineral wool over other insulation materials: less materials, less energy and less emissions.

Less materials: Isover insulation uses less virgin materials and more recycled raw materials to help sustain the environment.  The company is the only glass mineral wool manufacturer to achieve the maximum possible recycled content, 86 per cent, using recycled glass that would otherwise go to landfill.  In addition, it recycles 375,000 litres of water at its manufacturing plant each day, achieving the benchmark set by the Environment Agency and ensuring no waste water leaves the factory.
The use of Isover glass mineral wool during installation also helps to reduce wastage on site, as the resilient nature of the product allows for an easier fit.  Unlike rigid insulation materials, which need to be cut to precisely the right size, Isover glass mineral wool expands to fill the available space for unbeatable performance all-round.

Less energy: the use of Isover insulation helps to reduce emissions.  Over a typical 50 year lifespan of a building Isover insulation will save 300 tonnes of CO₂, which equates to over 375 times more CO₂ than is needed for its manufacture.  The company’s market-leading efficiency also means less energy is used in the manufacturing process and, as part of its continuous improvement process, it has invested in advanced technologies to reduce its factory energy consumption by 20 per cent.
Less emissions: a house built with Isover insulation to current building regulations will halve the CO₂ emissions released into the environment when compared to a typical house build in the 1950s.  Products also boast ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and GWP (Global Warming Potential) ratings of zero.
Isover is committed to lowering the emissions generated by product distribution, increasing delivery capacity to 22 and even 24 pallets of insulation products per truck.  Combined with Isover’s investment in a new regional distribution hub, this has reduced the company’s carbon footprint through fewer deliveries per customer, less road miles and an enhanced distribution network.

Stacey Davis, marketing director for Saint-Gobain Isover, comments: “At Isover we take our environmental responsibility seriously.  The very nature of our business is to develop insulation solutions to protect both the natural and the built environment and our 3 Point Plan campaign highlights the areas where Isover glass mineral wool excels in terms of sustainability and performance.  With a whole host of top prizes on offer, we’re sure our customers will agree that Isover is a winning choice.”
From schools and hospitals to warehouses, factories, offices and homes, Isover offers a range of high performance insulation solutions to meet thermal, acoustic and fire safety requirements.  For further information regarding the 3 Point Plan please visit www.3pointplan.co.uk or call 0115 969 8010.
