Saint-Gobain PAM UK wins new contract for innovatively designed 'Walkie Talkies' project
Iron technology leader Saint-Gobain PAM UK, part of leading international materials company Saint-Gobain, has clinched a major contract to supply its Timesaver below ground drainage system for an extensive construction project in London.
The ‘Walkie Talkie’ project – so-called because it will be designed in a similar shape to a walkie talkie – will see a new skyscraper constructed on Fenchurch Street in London. The Timesaver drain product was specified for its unrivalled strength and rigidity, in addition to its extra section thickness which is suitable for operation underneath tall buildings.
Gary Zumeris, technical specification sales manager at Saint-Gobain PAM UK, commented: “The range offers all the key cast iron attributes of strength, minimal maintenance, 100 per cent recyclability and guaranteed long life.”
