Saint-Gobain is bringing its expertise to Greenbuild Expo, the UK’s newest sustainable building and refurbishment event. The show, held at Manchester Central, 7–8 May, will play host to the latest industry news, from training and renewable technologies to sustainable materials and legislation updates.

Experts from the Saint-Gobain team will be presenting a series of CPDs and seminars throughout the show, with topics including training, hard-to-treat properties and Saint-Gobain’s latest project, Salford Energy House. In addition to a presentation on Glazing Upgrades for Social Housing, Glassolutions, part of Saint-Gobain, will share information and showcase displays on its glazing products and solutions.

The Greenworks Training Academy, also part of Saint-Gobain, will be on hand to provide practical advice and guidance on available training courses, with a particular focus on the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and new Part L. With six academies around the UK, after the recent opening of the new Flitwick Academy, visitors to the stand will be able to find out more about Saint-Gobain’s Technical Academy Network and the training opportunities available across the country.

Weber, part of Saint-Gobain, will be showcasing its monocouche render and External Wall Insulation (EWI) range, and working with Isover and British Gypsum, both also Saint-Gobain companies, to demonstrate EWI, Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) and floor insulation solutions on both days of the show.

Richard Halderthay, Director of Communications for Saint-Gobain UK, Ireland & South Africa, said: “We are looking forward to exhibiting at the Greenbuild Expo show and sharing our knowledge in the seminar sessions.

“Not only will we cover current industry issues such as solid wall insulation, ECO and the new Green Deal incentives, the highlight session for us will be sharing our experience and the results from the Salford Energy House project, our world first retrofit project, which has already garnered a high level of interest since we revealed our results and methods.”
