Gyproc ThermaLine PIR plasterboard has become the latest product from British Gypsum to achieve the independent Green Deal compliance certification from the British Board of Agrément (BBA). The four British Gypsum’s systems certified by the BBA have been updated to include Gyproc ThermaLine PIR plasterboard, strengthening the range of British Gypsum interior wall insulation solutions suitable for Green Deal, Green Deal Home Improvement Fund, and Energy Company Obligation (ECO) projects.
Combining efficient PIR insulation foam bonded to 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard, Gyproc ThermaLine PIR offers high thermal performance at a much lower thickness than standard products. This allows it to be easily installed without affecting the internal space of a property, making it ideal for use in solid wall homes, extensions and room-in-the-roof projects.
Harjit Sandhu, Domestic Specification Sector Manager at British Gypsum, said: “We now offer an extensive range of internal wall insulation solutions which can help millions of homeowners with solid wall properties significantly reduce their energy bills. Following recent increases in funding for the renovation of solid wall properties, we have already seen a surge in consumer demand. Receiving BBA certification for Gyproc ThermaLine PIR is well timed as it gives customers a wider choice of compliant products and systems to choose from.”
British Gypsum’s four systems certified by the BBA – DriLyner RF, DriLyner TL, GypLyner UNIVERSAL, and GypLyner IWL – are all designed to help increase energy efficiency and lower fuel bills by offering improved thermal performance. Collectively they ensure that solutions are available for a variety of building surfaces.
British Gypsum also received BBA certification for its Green Deal solutions and training package, which focuses on equipping installers with the knowledge to fit materials in compliance with the Green Deal’s strict requirements.
Harjit continued: “Gyproc ThermaLine is a cost effective solution, strengthening our Green Deal package which helps installers easily identify compliant systems and products and, with the training available, ensures they are able to offer the best service, quality of work and advice possible to homeowners.”
