There was a double celebration for Saint-Gobain last week when the Group was recognised as a Top Employer both across Europe again, and in the UK for the third consecutive year.

The accolade is based on extensive research conducted by the Top Employers Institute, a process which includes independent verification by leading accountancy practice, Grant Thornton.

Top Employer 2015 recognises organisations that achieve the highest standards of excellence in human resources, particularly in the areas of learning and development, career and succession management and the overall culture of the organisation.

Peter Hindle MBE, Senior Vice President for Saint-Gobain and General Delegate for the UK, Ireland and South Africa, said:  “We are extremely proud to receive this recognition again. In particular, the strong endorsement from the Top Employers Institute for the culture of collaboration and development we have throughout the organisation.”

Collecting the award, Andrea Huckett, Head of Career Development for Saint-Gobain in the UK, commented: “In receiving the award, we were recognised for the steps we take to develop our employees for leadership roles and prepare them for their next career step within Saint-Gobain.  We want all our employees to enjoy working with us and reach their full potential and, with more than 30 businesses in the UK & Ireland alone, we are able to provide the tools, opportunities and experiences to help make that happen.”

The award comes shortly after the release of Saint-Gobain’s ‘Are you in?’ campaign – designed to raise internal and external awareness of Saint-Gobain’s offer of a ‘career without boundaries’. This has also included the creation of dedicated careers functionalities across a newly launched LinkedIn page and its existing Facebook profile.
