Partition and wall panel systems

British Gypsum partition and walling systems

British Gypsum offers a full range of lightweight partition and walling systems. Standard systems are non-loadbearing and constructed using dry lining techniques. British Gypsum metal framed partitions and walls can be used in all types of buildings including private housing, flats and apartments, commercial, institutional, recreational and industrial properties. They cover all applications, from simple space division; through to high performance walls designed to meet the most demanding fire resistance, sound insulation, impact and height requirements.

British Gypsum produces plasterboards that are fire resistant, insulate from noise pollution, provide thermal insulation, can be moisture resistant and also impact resistant when required.

Key products include:

  • Gypwall CLASSIC - the industry’s original lightweight drywall partition system, providing cost-effective, multi-purpose solutions suitable for all types of buildings.
  • Gypwall EXTREME - ultimate impact resistant partition for use where extra durability is required above and beyond Severe Duty. GypWall EXTREME is able to cope with the rigours of intensive high traffic use in commercial applications.
  • Gypwall QUIET - a lightweight, non-loadbearing, twin framed acoustic separating wall, primarily used as a sound resisting wall in residential units such as flats and apartments.

Ecophon acoustic wall panel systems

The traditional way to add sound absorption to a room is to install a suspended acoustic ceiling. However, this is not always possible or it may be that only some parts of the ceiling area can be treated with sound-absorbing material.

Ecophon offers wall panel systems with different types of surfaces and profiles. The choice of system depends on the type of premises in which it is to be installed. In schools for instance, a surface with high impact resistance is recommended while, in a prestigious office, a surface and profile with high aesthetic qualities would be preferable.
