LEARNING WITH SAINT-GOBAIN

Life is all about learning, we learn all time. We learn at work, in our personal lives and sometimes just out of curiosity. We know how important learning is for our colleagues especially in today’s digital age. It’s our responsibility to keep our employees equipped with the right skill set so they can achieve in their roles. Our broad Learning and Development offer delivers tailored training that is focused on the learner with a variety of different learning techniques including face to face workshops, eLearning, digital programmes, or a combination of the three.

Our learning platform, Boost!, offers access to both face-to-face workshops and digital learning resources on a huge range of subjects including health & safety, product training, digital transformation, agile working, project management and leadership topics. All of which are easily accessible from work and at home making learning flexible around you. On Boost! You will find training specifically recommended for you, as well as other modules relevant to your personal development, allowing you to individually tailor your learning – a personalised online experience for your development.

Our comprehensive induction module will guide you through the structure of Saint-Gobain, our Purpose, Attitudes and our Principles of Conduct and Action. We also have modules to develop your digital skills, keeping you up to date with the major digital trends affecting business and society, as well as leadership and management modules that support the development of coaching skills, collaboration and teamwork.

We recognise that our colleagues are at different stages in their careers and require different levels of training which is why we offer a wide variety of training programmes designed to support personal and professional development for everyone. Colleagues are given the opportunity to develop their business and communication skills, digital understanding, leadership and management techniques, as well as pursuing training that will enhance knowledge in their profession.

At Saint-Gobain, we’re passionate about making sure the health and well-being of our colleagues and customers is at the forefront of everything we do. We’re committed to not only protecting, but improving the long-term physical and mental health and well-being of our employees. A wide variety of digital learning resources are available on topics including relaxation and sleep, happiness, stress and mindfulness. In partnership with AXA our Managers have the opportunity to attend workshops on It’s Okay To Not Be Okay. All colleagues also have access to AXA’s proactive health gateway providing resources and tips to help us make small, sensible and sustainable life changes. Saint-Gobain also has trained Mental Health champions across the businesses.

As part of this commitment, Saint-Gobain has over 35 work-based programmes, available to new and existing colleagues. These work-based programmes are funded through our Apprenticeship Levy and cover a wide range of roles including customer service, trade counter, engineering, accountancy, supply chain, large vehicle driving, cybersecurity and leadership. Studying is a blend of relevant on-the-job training, virtual and classroom based learning, coaching, group work and eLearning, to enable you to flourish whilst gaining a recognised qualification.
