Pasquill accelerates its passion for colleague and customer safety by modernising its fleet of crane trucks, helping Saint-Gobain to make the world a better home.
It’s out with the old… and in with the new.
Saint-Gobain brand Pasquill is introducing MAN crane trucks (Euro VI) to enable drivers to easily offload engineered timber products like roof trusses to customer sites across the UK.
The team has collaborated with Bevan, a commercial vehicle body builder, crane producer HIAB and XPO Logistics to bring the fleet into its branch network of seven manufacturing sites.
Utilising the latest Euro VI engine technology, this cleaner diesel vehicle will transfer trusses to the ground using a remote controlled crane. It features the latest technology for protection to vulnerable road users, cyclist warning technology and safety cameras.
Peter Ovey, Offsite Solutions Risk Manager, said: “Health and safety is the number one priority for all of our colleagues. These vehicles will ensure our drivers and our customers remain safe when it comes to kerbside deliveries.
“The crane will relieve our drivers of any manual labour and removes the need for the driver to mount the bed of the trailer – creating an easier and safer process for them. We want to ensure they keep their feet on the ground and at a safe distance when unloading at customer sites.
“Features, such as the safety cameras, will ensure that drivers have better vision of what is happening around them, mitigating the risk of accidents.

Ross Baxter, Managing Director of Saint-Gobain Off-Site Solutions, said;
‘Saint-Gobain is committed to our purpose of Making the World a Better Home and this investment at Pasquill will help us to provide a safer working environment for our colleagues and customers, as well as improving driver safety whilst on the road.'
