Watch our video explaining some of our new ways of working in our branches and sites
Updated: 5th May 2021
We would like to again thank our fantastic colleagues for their continued commitment and efforts during what is a very difficult time and our customers and suppliers.
As the Uk begins to ease lockdown restrictions we continue to operate with safe practices in place in cluding social distancing and face coverings.
We remain absolutely committed to our first priority; to protect our employees and their health, wellbeing and safety, as well as other important needs including protecting colleagues’ livelihoods, supporting customers, many of whom are self-employed and rely on us, and of course the critical need to support the nationwide response to the Covid-19 crisis.
We are following guidance on social distancing and hygiene to keep everyone in our workplaces safe. Our new ways of working include comprehensive manager briefings, signage, queue management and access restrictions in branches designed to ensure hygiene and social distancing guidelines can be adhered to. There are also new processes for customer collections and deliveries to carefully manage the process and maintain social distancing, and working areas are marked out to protect both colleagues working and customers.
All customers who use our branches must wear a mask – we will continue to provide masks to those who do not have them.
In addition to these measures, we are also advising colleagues to work from home if they are able to, to minimise travel and contact with others. We are also introducing additional measures regarding the wearing of masks for all colleagues who work indoors when they move between their desk or work station, to ensure safety in communal areas.
You can read more about what to expect in our new ways of working here. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in contact with your local branch, or regular Saint-Gobain contact, or alternatively please contact our Brand, Digital and Communications team – sgukinfo@saint-gobain.com.
