Saint-Gobain’s training all hosted under one roof in a bid to boost customers’ knowledge and tackle skills shortages in the construction industry
It’s in one place and has something for all of Saint-Gobain’s customers.
The online training section is now live and visitors can search for online videos and classroom courses across the UK and Ireland in areas such as plastering, insulation, dry-lining, acoustic design, tile fixing, floor systems and fire performance.
Customers can also book Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at their workplace or location of choice to support their development and knowledge. These include Weber and Ecophon’s RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) approved CPD seminars and presentations.
Richard Halderthay, Director Brand, Digital and Communications at Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland explained: “It’s an exciting time as we showcase our extensive training for our customers to help improve the skills of those working in construction. Our training hub allows visitors to easily access the latest courses from our Saint-Gobain UK and Ireland brands – it’s all in one place.
“Saint-Gobain has a wealth of knowledge and is deeply committed and passionate when it comes to training and supporting our customers to develop their skills. We believe that it’s critical to create better buildings using modern methods of construction that improve comfort, wellbeing and daily life for the occupants.
But it’s not just builders, merchants, architects and designers who benefit from Saint-Gobain’s training and guidance. Each year, Saint-Gobain supports young people through its Future Place Academy in Lewisham. They also contribute over £2 million into the Apprenticeship Levy and are able to use a percentage of this to help customers develop their apprentices and build their skills.
Small businesses are also strongly supported by Saint-Gobain through the Entrepreneurship Foundation, which was established in 2015 to provide business skills to growing construction businesses. Since its launch, the Foundation has helped 47 small business leaders.

We do this to provide them with skills and accreditations to be able to construct high performing buildings, develop successful businesses and build fulfilling careers in the industry.
