Introduction:

We helped Stile Common Junior School reduce plasterboard use and meet the project’s acoustic and fire requirements.

Problem:

This project at Stile Common Junior School focused on cooperating more efficiently to ensure the most competitive specification was chosen while satisfying acoustic and fire regulations, as well as reducing the volume of plasterboard on site and contributing to the BREEAM rating of Very Good.

Solution:

We collaborated with the primary contractor to provide a single-layer board solution utilizing the Gypframe® 92 I 90 'I' Stud, which eliminated 3,400m of plasterboard from the specification.

Benefits:

Working with the project team, we were able to show and quantify an additional two BREEAM points through the use of our high-performance products and services, assisting in meeting the 55-point criterion for a Very Good grade.

We care about building better.

Client's Words:

“The end result speaks for itself: the quality of the finish, the details around the brick exposed windows, just a fabulous finish all round.”
