Introduction:

Designed by the renowned architect Bernard Tschumi, the new complex of the elite boarding school “Le Rosey” in Rolle, Switzerland, houses a range of first-class facilities, including a Learning Centre, classrooms, drama and dance venues, and extensive music equipment.

Problem:

Felix Constructions S.A., a well-known Swiss façade contractor, installed nearly 470 m2 of fire-resistant glass for this demanding project, which included partitions, fire doors, staircases, and meeting rooms.

Solution:

His solutions for meeting fire requirements include Contraflam 30 incorporated into Forster's Thermfix Vario frame systems. Contraflam not only provides incredibly durable fire protection, but it is also 100% UV stable, ensuring long-lasting maximum transparency to keep rooms and facades bright.

Benefits:

Glass sizes of up to 1'800 x 3'800mm demonstrate Vetrotech's ability to produce big, custom-made glass solutions capable of meeting the needs of such landmark projects. Vetrotech's glass solutions provide architects and constructors with unrivaled architectural flexibility while also ensuring the building's inhabitants' safety.
