Introduction:

The new core of the university city of Groningen is a "culture department store." NL Architects designed the building, which opened in the autumn of 2019. The gigantic structure provides a entirely new combination of cultural activities including libraries, cinemas, and museums.

Problem:

The main challenge was to have neutrality and energy conservation alongside mechanical and thermal resistance.

Solution:

The functional glass COOL-LITE SKN 176, along with SGG PLANITHERM, ensures neutrality and great energy efficiency. SECURIT glass is much more resistant to mechanical and thermal stresses than normal annealed glass.
