Case Study

Timber frame extension project

Project manager

Introduction:

Seven Bays Park picked us for this project because of our established track record, which includes excellent evaluations and participation in award-winning initiatives. The customer was seeking for a dependable timber production firm after their previous company failed to meet their expectations throughout the design process.

Problem:

Taking over from another firm presented several obstacles, including an incomplete original design. After receiving this version, our team immediately went to work on finalizing the design with additional structural calculations.

Solution:

The precision-built, pre-manufactured timber frame system forms the foundation of an addition, ready to be customized with external cladding and roofing finishes.

When evaluating the extension, Seven Bays Park was willing to be flexible about the expense of their project since they had a clear vision for how the building would appear. However, it required a relatively cost-effective solution, which we were able to supply when compared to the first source the customer approached.

Benefits:

Disruption was kept to a minimum thanks to a single-load delivery and one-day construction. The construction proceeded really well, especially given the complexity of the vaulted ceiling design, and it satisfied all applicable efficiency and sustainability criteria for the completed building.

We care about building better.

Client's Words:

“Pasquill performed very well on the project. Taking on someone else’s partly competed design part way through a project cannot have been easy. We did wonder if any company would do it and we might have to start again from scratch. We would certainly work with Pasquill again and recommend them to others.”
