EPD’s

The significance and understanding of the environmental impacts of construction materials has been growing for a number of years in the UK construction industry.

Focus is starting to shift from the environmental impact of the building in use to the production of the building fabric and services, the construction process, and the ongoing maintenance of the building throughout its entire lifecycle including its end of life.

We have continued to respond to the needs of the industry, developing lifecycle assessments (LCAs) and environmental product declarations (EPDs) to help our stakeholders to understand the environmental impacts of our materials and services, and to support them in meeting their own sustainability goals.

In 2022, 31.4% of our turnover was linked to products with EPDs.
