Introducing Kilwaughter to Saint-Gobain
Introducing Kilwaughter Minerals: the latest addition to the Saint-Gobain Group.
Joining Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland officially in December 2024, Kilwaughter Minerals comprises of 4 brands:
- K Rend-supplying façade mortars including high-performance renders, mortars, external coatings
- K Systems-a solution for external wall insulation
- Kilwaughter Lime-manufacturing calcium carbonate powders, limestone sands, aggregates & minerals, used in the construction and agricultural industries
- K Landscapes-supplying materials to the Irish Construction and Landscaping industries.
In March 2025, several Kilwaughter colleagues joined Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland at the Futurebuild expo, where we spoke to Elaine Gilligan, Marketing Manager at Kilwaughter Minerals, who gave us the perfect introduction to the business.

“Tell us more about K Rend and K Systems”
K Rend is a market leading render specialist. We supply premium through coloured renders to the construction industry. In K Systems, we specialise in the design and specification of high performing external wall insulation systems. That includes a number of A1 fire rated systems with a number of different finishes including silicone renders, dash, brick effect finishes. Our focus remains on delivering an exceptional customer experience and were excited to see what the synergies we have with Saint-Gobain can bring to that.

Our brands can help Saint-Gobain make the world a better home. For example with K Systems, our external insulation systems can help to transform social housing and improve thermal comfort for residents and reduce heating bills. And K Rend, we’re really looking at how we can improve our offering in terms of our external renders. Using cement replacement technology to lower the embodied carbon in some of the products and things like supporting the communities that we work in and making sure that we are giving back as much as we can in terms of training, and supporting local charities and our communities that we operate in.
