Creating spaces that are accessible and functional for all is no longer optional — it's an essential factor that should be considered throughout your project.
The existing industrial buildings on site will be dismantled and recycled where possible. We are already in discussion with a number of companies to specialise in salvaging and recycling industrial buildings. The existing offices canteen and a small number of additional buildings will be renovated and form part of the new office accommodation for the new facility. Large areas of hard standing will be resurfaced to provide car parking.
For nearly 150 years the site at Holwell has been in active industrial use as a working foundry. Other working foundry the site has previously received HGV vehicles Raw materials and to distribute final product to customers. The site would have also generated vehicle movements from employees working at the site.
Prior to a planning application being submitted for the new development at Holwell extensive traffic impact assessments will be undertaken. These assessments will consider the proposed traffic movements once the site is operational.
A wide variety of environmental assessments are being undertaken at the site. These include ecological, botanical and extensive surveys into various species of wildlife. These studies will form part of an Environmental Impact Assessment that will be provided to the local authority when a planning application is submitted.
